| 19 times German Champions |
The most successful club since the launch of the Bundesliga in 1963 has unquestionably been Bayern Munich.
Having won the old German championship just once (in 1932) prior to 1963, the Bavarian giants have gone on to win the Bundesliga no less than 18 times (up to the 2004/5 season).
