Other records and notable personalities
Former Eintracht players Karl-Heinz Körbel holds the records for the most appearances (602, from 1972-1991) in Bundesliga history. He played all of these games for Eintracht, 'outliving' 15 head coaches.

Jürgen Friedl (born 23rd Feb. 1959) held the record for being the youngest ever player (17 yrs, 26 days) in the Bundesliga, until this was broken in 2005.

Richard Kreß, born March 1925, was still playing in 1963/64 when the Bundesliga began and holds the record as the league's oldest debutant (38 years and 171 days) and oldest player when scoring his first goal (38 yrs, 248 days).

Most changes in the hot seat
The club also holds the notorious record of having sacked more head coaches mid-contract than any other club in the
history of the Bundesliga.  This fate had (at the time of writing, October 2005) befallen 20 head coaches in Frankfurt.  Current coach, Friedhelm Funkel, pictured, will be hoping he's not the 21st!

Eintracht Frankfurt is one of only 3 German club to have provided at least one player to the national side on the three occasions that Germany / West Germany have won the World Cup (the other 2 being Bayern Munich and Cologne): Alfred Pfaff in 1954, Jürgen Grabowski and Bernd Hölzenbein in 1974, and Uwe Bein in 1990.

From 20th August 1985 to 25th August 1987, the club set an uneviable record of 32 away games in succession without a win.
