BMW museum The museum's main building is shut for renovation until 2007 (good timing, huh?), so it's now in a temporary building next to the Olympic stadium (right).
BMW tower The museum is normally housed in a sort of upside-down dome across the road at the foot of BMW's headquarters building, one of the most impressive high-rise towers in Munich. The silver building in the shape of a four-cylinder engine was built in 1970-73. However, there are no public areas inside, so you'll just have to admire it from without!
Two euros admission The museum is open from 10am-10pm from March to October (10am-8pm during the winter). Admission (2005) is €2 for adults.
Worth going? The temporary display is probably not worth a separate trip - unless you're a real petrol head - but it's worth a look around if you're out at the Olympic Park. There are some nice old cars to see, as these pictures show (click on them to enlarge).
