An overview of Leipzig
Leipzig is a fascinating mix of the old East and the modern West. For 40 years part of East Germany, the city has been transformed since reunification, but even now some signs of former neglect remain. However it's a city with great ambition - they tried for the 2012 Olympics, have built a brand new stadium and now have the World Cup to look forward to.

Leipzig fan park
The fan park in Leipzig is going to be on Augustplatz, about 100 yards from the main station ... as a landmark, just look out for the triangular peak atop the university tower block at the side of the square.
