OK, so yes, Kaiserslautern does have some tourist sights!  We've selected 8 you might want to take a look at:

The Rathaus (town hall)
Opened in 1968, the 24-floor tower block town hall dominates the city centre landscape.

The Fruchthalle
The 'fruit hall' was originally built in the first half of the 19th century for the regional fruit market.

Spinnrädl
At no. 1 Schillerstrasse, this is one of the city's few preserved,  half-timbered buildings.

Adler Apotheke
The 'Eagle Chemists'. Interesting example of architecture from the Napoleonic era.

Stiftskirche
Built in the 14th-15th century, this was once one of the major Gothic churches in south-west Germany.

Spoliensäule
A column of architectural artefacts erected as a reminder of some of the city's former buildings.

St. Martins Platz
The city's prettiest square, with a fountain, an old tree and nice 18th and 19th century facades.

Steinstrasse
With 30 pubs and restaurants, this pleasant street will see much drinking and eating in 2006!

The Spinnrädl

The Adler Apotheke and Stiftskirche

The Fruchthalle
