Schönefeld International Airport (Flughafen Berlin-Schönefeld) is located on the south-eastern outskirts of Berlin.

Getting into Berlin

The airport is about 11 miles south of the city centre.

While there is no rail or underground connection within the airport terminal building itself, the railway and metro (S-Bahn) station is only 300 yards away at the airport perimeter.

You can walk there, get a free lift on a golf buggy (if there’s one going spare) or take the number 171 bus, which runs every 10 minutes (except from 1 – 4 a.m.) and is free as far as the station.

Depending on where you are heading for in Berlin, you could also take the 171 bus to Rudow station, from where the U7 underground line is a more direct connection to parts of the south of the city than the services running from the airport station.
