As part of the arrangements for this year's World Cup, all 12 venues will be organising an official 'fan park' in their city, where fans can gather, party and watch the games on giant screens.

Fan 'hall' in Westfalenhallen
They're doing things differently in Dortmund - in addition to a 'Fan Fest' outside, they're also having one
inside!

However, the location is huge, so it will generate a real stadium
atmosphere!  The venue is the Westfalenhallen, an enormous exhibition centre right next to the football ground itself.

Entrance to halls 1 and 2

Halls 1 to 3A
The 'Fan Hall' will be using halls 1 to 3A at the exhibition centre and will feature live
transmissions of the games, live concerts, football films, comedy and a whole lot more.

Chill-out zone
The activities in what in total will be 4 halls being used also include celebrity talk shows, TV
and radio events and participation sports.  There will also be international catering, an Internet cafe and a chill-out zone for winding down after the big match!

On-site accommodation
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the city, the Westfallenhallen is also offering
dorm-style accommodation at 35 euros a night.

Outside Fan Fest on Friedensplatz
The city's outside public viewing area will be on the Friedensplatz in the central pedestrianised area of town.  This square (Peace Square) is a regular venue for concerts, big celebrations and political election rallies, and during the World Cup the plan is to create a 'World Cup mile', linking Friedensplatz to the stadium and the Westfalenhallen.

Official opening times are 11am to 11pm, June 8 to July 9.
