Berlin fan survey continued...
If you can pick and choose, where's the best place to sit (or stand) in the ground?
Sören: Top tier, half-way line.
Markus: You get the best view from the main stand, or directly opposite - but the best atmosphere is in the lower tier of the East End (Ostkurve).
Alex: Wherever you like it best
Andrea: Top tier, half-way line.
Gunnar: Best atmosphere = East End, lower tier; Best view = main stand.
Pepsi-Peppy: The stand opposite the main stand.
Joël: Blocks 7,8,25 and 26 (as close to the front as possible).
Where should you definitely not sit?
Sören: Behind the goal on the top tier beneath the scoreboard.
Markus: If you're on the upper tier, you need to make sure you're not behind one of the pillars that support the roof, as they obstruct your view of the pitch.
Alex: In the away end, or where you least like it!
Andrea: Behind a pillar - they obstruct your view!
Gunnar: Just to the right or left of the 'Olympic Gateway' (West Stand). As there's an opening in the roof there, it gets wet when it rains. Also avoid the top tier - you're far enough away from the pitch anyway because of the running track, up in the gods you see even less!
Pepsi-Peppy: Top tier.
Joël: Blocks Q, R, S, T, 34-41, H, J, G, K, 17, 18.
Apart from the official 'Fan Park', where's a good place to watch the game on a big screen with a good atmosphere, if you don't get any tickets?
Sören: There are going to be big screens put up all around town - for example, in the Sony Centre on Potsdamer Platz, in the Mercedes Building on the Street of the 17th June, on the Ku'damm, in the Arena in Treptow and so on.
Markus: In the Sony Centre on Potsdamer Platz, or in any number of sports bars and pubs.
Alex: In numerous pubs (see above) or on various public squares.
Andrea: In the Waldbühne.
Gunnar: Prater, Hanne am Zoo and the Cafe am See in the Tiergarten.
Pepsi-Peppy: Unter den Linden.
Joël: Potsdamer Platz.
